My name is Emily Walters and I am located in Kansas City, MO. Born and raised here, I attended Notre Dame de Sion high school and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Missouri State University, in Springfield. I have a dual emphasis in printmaking and metalsmithing, and a minor in art history.
I’ve always loved flowers, and dabbled in arranging for years. My first wedding flower experience was doing all the arranging and bouquets for my own wedding. From there I started receiving referrals from friends and family, and the business just kept on growing. I have been doing wedding flowers professionally for clients throughout Kansas City, and beyond, for three years.
Although emmy-ray is a small, family run business ( my mom works as my design assistant), we take on weddings of all shapes and sizes. From intimate affairs of 50 people, all the way up to hotel ballroom receptions of 400+. We specialize in eclectic, and vintage weddings, with a huge personal collection of containers, and table linens for our clients use. We also do events outside of weddings, including corporate meetings, bridal and baby showers, holiday parties, and any other events that call for beautiful fresh flowers.
